Full Description
The western portion of these lynchets were previously recorded as part of MDO2335 (See parent record).
A group of at least six prominent east-west aligned lynchets are visible in 2022 DTM LiDAR imagery, centred on ST 6212 1947. These lynchets are also visible in modern satelite imagery, in which they can also be faintly seen extending further to the east, beyond a north-south field boundary. The western portion of the lynchets are within an area of orchard depicted on the 1st and 2nd ed OS maps, probably explaining their preservation, some of the more denuded eastern portion of the lynchets appear to have been fossilized in post medieval field boundaries depicted on these maps. <1-4>
