Monument record MDO5008 - Double ring ditch, Blandford Camp, Tarrant Hinton

A semi-circular fenced enclosure is visible on the northwest side of Blandford Camp on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is within an area of First and Second World War earthworks probably used for military training and may be a barbed wire entanglement of this date used for military training purposes. A similar semi-circular enclosure (MDO5006) to the south is visible on the same 1940s aerial photographs, along with a larger sub-oval enclosure of similar character to the east near Telegraph Clump (MDO44897). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
