Full Description
An extensive bank and ditched field system is visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs in fields surrounding Thorncombe Farm, Piddletrenthide. They extend to the south in record MDO48885 and form part of a wider field system described in MDO43361. The features are overlain by medieval cultivation (see MDO49650) and are considered to be of prehistoric (Iron Age or Roman) origin,; they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
