Summary
A wide scatter of rectilinear banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the south of Highlands, Piddletrenthide. Some of the features fit in with the post medieval field system marked on the OS 1st edition map and may therefore be of medieval or later date; others however may be of earlier origin. The field boundaries extend across an area of 43 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

A wide scatter of rectilinear banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the south of Highlands, Piddletrenthide. Some of the features fit in with the post medieval field system marked on the OS 1st edition map and may therefore be of medieval or later date; others however may be of earlier origin.
