Full Description
The site of an Old Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the south of Heaves Farm, Piddlehinton. It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. It is one of five pits situated in the same modern field, two of which are visible as soilmarks on aerial photographs. [1-3]
