Summary

An extensive scatter of banked field boundaries is visible as soilmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery between Bourne Farm and Bourne Park Solar Farm, Piddlehinton. The features are considered likely to be the fragmented remains of a later prehistoric field system, and are part of a wider field system described in MDO1911. The boundaries cover an area of over 60 hectares and were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

An extensive scatter of banked field boundaries is visible as soilmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery between Bourne Farm and Bourne Park Solar Farm, Piddlehinton. The features are considered likely to be the fragmented remains of a later prehistoric field system, and are part of a wider field system described in MDO1911. The boundaries cover an area of over 60 hectares and were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <1-2>
