Summary

Three ditched linear features to the northwest of Forston Higher Farm, Charminster, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The features potentially correspond with part of a later prehistoric field system (MDO790) and may be features associated with this, suggesting field boundaries of a possible Iron Age to Roman date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Three ditched linear features to the northwest of Forston Higher Farm, Charminster, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs [1]. The features potentially correspond with part of a later prehistoric field system (MDO790) and may be features associated with this, suggesting field boundaries of a possible Iron Age to Roman date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
