Summary

A linear ditched feature is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs running for over 600m in a southeasterly direction. At its northern end it follows the parish boundary with Charminster and Pidddlehinton before cutting across the field system described in MDO20448. A second stretch of ditch continues along the parish boundary in an easterly direction for 265m. The features are considered likely to be be boundary ditches or trackways, they may be of medieval or earlier origin and were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

A linear ditched feature is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs running for over 600m in a southeasterly direction. At its northern end it follows the parish boundary with Charminster and Pidddlehinton before cutting across the field system described in MDO20448. A second stretch of ditch continues along the parish boundary in an easterly direction for 265m.
