Several post medieval chalk pits to the northwest of Forston Higher Farm, Charminster, are visible as soilmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
