Two post medieval chalk pits on Charlton Higher Down, Charminster, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are recorded as old chalk pits on the OS 1st Edition map [2].They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
