Monument record MDO48882 - Later prehistoric enclosure, Forston, Charminster

A sub-oval ditched enclosure and adjacent ditched linear features in a field to the west of Forston, Charminster, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The features are considered likely to later prehistoric, possibly Iron Age to Roman, in date. They are within part of a later prehistoric field system recorded under MDO789 and might be associated. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
