Summary

A rectilinear ditched enclosure with internal pit are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1971. They are situated within the field system decribed in MDO48870 and considered to be contemporary with it, possibly the site of a settlement. The enclosure is 82m by 60m across and has an entrance on its southern side. The features were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

A rectilinear ditched enclosure with internal pit are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1971. They are situated within the field system decribed in MDO48870 and considered to be contemporary with it, possibly the site of a settlement. The enclosure is 82m by 60m across and has an entrance on its southern side. The features were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.<1>
