Summary

Fragments of a rectilinear ditched enclosure with associated trackway are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2017. They are situated within the field system decribed in MDO1996 and are considered to be contemporary with it, possibly the site of a settlement. The features were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

Fragments of a rectilinear ditched enclosure with associated trackway are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2017. The enclosure is 66m across with an entrance towards its northern end from which a short section of double-ditched trackway extends. The features are situated within the field system decribed in MDO1996 and are considered to be contemporary with it, possibly the site of a settlement. The features were digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <1>
