Summary

Two large hollows with associated spoil heaps are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Druce Hangings, Puddletown. They lie within a small copse marked on the OS 1st edition map and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits. They were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Two large hollows with associated spoil heaps are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Druce Hangings, Puddletown. They lie within a small copse marked on the OS 1st edition map and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits.
