It is situated to the southeast of barrow MDO834 and is possibly one of the Cheselbourne West Down barrow group. The site was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

The site of a plough-levelled mound, 6m across, is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs on Cheselbourne West Down, Cheselbourne <1>.
