Summary

The potential site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a double-concentric cropmark ring ditch with traces of an internal mound, on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the east of St Mary's Church, Piddlehinton. The site was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

The potential site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a double-concentric cropmark ring ditch with traces of an internal mound, on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the east of St Mary's Church, Piddlehinton <1-2>. The internal mound is 20m across and the outer ring ditch 32m across; it was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
