Summary

An area of rectilinear banks and lynchets to the west of Godmanstone, is visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are possibly part of a medieval field system but might include earlier features of potentially Iron Age-Romano-British origin, associated with field system (MDO1743). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

An area of rectilinear banks and lynchets to the west of Godmanstone, is visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are possibly part of a medieval field system but might include earlier features of potentially Iron Age-Romano-British origin, associated with field system (MDO1743). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
