A post medieval chalk pit on Ridge Hill, Sydling St Nicholas, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is recorded as a chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map [2] and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
