Full Description
An area of later prehistoric field system to the west of Godmanstone, is visible as linear banked and ditched soilmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2, 3]. The field system is of potentially Iron Age-Romano-British date, although might include later, possibly medieval, lynchets or field boundaries. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
The field system potentially overlaps and extends features of probable contemporary date recorded under MDO1743.
