Summary

A sub-circular mound in a field to the northwest of Combe Bottom, Cerne Abbas, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is considered to possibly be a Bronze Age bowl barrow and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Full Description

A sub-circular mound in a field to the northwest of Combe Bottom, Cerne Abbas, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature appears to comprise a mound just under 22m in diameter, with the slightest suggestion of a partial outer ditch along its south, east and west sides. It is considered to possibly be a Bronze Age bowl barrow and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
