Summary

Banked curvilinear features infilling fields to the northeast of Cerne Abbas are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval origin, possibly part of an area of former medieval strip field. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Banked curvilinear features infilling fields to the northeast of Cerne Abbas are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval origin, possibly part of an area of former medieval strip field. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
