Summary

Three parallel banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the west of the deserted medieval settement described in MDO4351, Milborne St Andrew. They are considered likely to be the remains of a medieval strip field system possibly associated with the settlement and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project; they have since been levelled.

Three parallel banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the west of the deserted medieval settement described in MDO4351, Milborne St Andrew <1>. They are considered likely to be the remains of a medieval strip field system possibly associated with the settlement and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project; they have since been levelled.
