Summary

The southern side of a possible prehistoric ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the northeast of Whitelands Down, Dewlish. It is associated with fragments of a contemporary field system. The features cover an area of over 5 hectares and are considered likely to be of later prehistoric date; they were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

The southern side of a possible prehistoric ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the northeast of Whitelands Down, Dewlish <1>. It is associated with fragments of a contemporary field system. The features cover an area of over 5 hectares and are considered likely to be of later prehistoric date; they were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
