Summary

The fragmented remains of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and cropmarks on aerial photographs in fields to the west of Chebbard Farm, Dewlish. The features are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They cover an area of over 42 hectares and extend into the field system described in MDO48630.

Full Description

The fragmented remains of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and cropmarks on aerial photographs in fields to the west of Chebbard Farm, Dewlish. The features are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They cover an area of over 42 hectares and extend into the field system described in MDO48630.
