Summary

The fragmented remains of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and cropmarks on aerial photographs in fields to the south of Waterside Farm, Cheselbourne. The features are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They cover an area of 28 hectares and extend into the field system described in MDO48631.

Full Description

The fragmented remains of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and cropmarks on aerial photographs in fields to the south of Waterside Farm, Cheselbourne <1-3>. The features are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They cover an area of 28 hectares and extend into the field system described in MDO48631.
