Summary

The fragmented remains of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery towards the northern end of Puddletown parish. The features are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and cover an area of over 50 hectares. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project and extend into the field system described in MDO46861.

The fragmented remains of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery towards the northern end of Puddletown parish <1>. The features are considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and cover an area of over 50 hectares. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project and extend into the field system described in MDO46861.
