Summary

The fragmented remains of an extensive banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery at the northwest end of Tolpuddle parish. The features cover an area of over 77 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. The features form part of a much larger field system which includes MDO2791 and extends to the north in MDO48611 and MDO48612.

Full Description

The fragmented remains of an extensive banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery at the northwest end of Tolpuddle parish <1>. The features cover an area of over 77 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. The features form part of a much larger field system which includes MDO2791 and extends to the north in MDO48611 and MDO48612.
