Full Description
Fragments of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the northeast of Basan Planation, Puddletown <1>. In places the system is associated with parallel medieval or post medieval cultivation marks which may be contemporary with the laying out of the system or relate to a later reuse of an earlier prehistoric system of fields <2-3>. The features cover an area of 50 hectares and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
