Summary

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure and fragments of an attached field boundary are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of Manor Farm, Dewlish. The enclosure is 45m by 38m across and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project, it is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman date.

Full Description

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure and fragments of an attached field boundary are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of Manor Farm, Dewlish <1>. The enclosure is 45m by 38m across and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project and is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman date; it lies 100m to the southeast of another enclosure described in MDO48571 and is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman date.
