Summary

Two large hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Warren Plantation, Puddletown. They were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project and are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits. A third smaller hollow is is situated within the narrow copse forming the southwest boundary of the field.

Two large hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Warren Plantation, Puddletown. <1> They were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project and are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits. A third smaller hollow is is situated within the narrow copse forming the southwest boundary of the field.
