Summary

An unannotated hollow is marked on the OS 5th edition map towards the north east end of Dewlish patish adjacent to the boundary with Milton Abbas. It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. It is one of a wide scatter of hollows at this end of the parish; they are all considered likely to be 19th or early 20th century extractive pits.

An unannotated hollow is marked on the OS 5th edition map towards the north east end of Dewlish patish adjacent to the boundary with Milton Abbas <1>. It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project <2>. It is one of a wide scatter of hollows at this end of the parish; they are all considered likely to be 19th or early 20th century extractive pits.
