Full Description
An unannotated hollow is marked on the OS 5th edition map towards the north east end of Dewlish patish adjacent to the boundary with Milton Abbas <1>. It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project <2>. It is one of a wide scatter of hollows at this end of the parish; they are all considered likely to be 19th or early 20th century extractive pits.
