It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. Two additional pits are situated to thy north and south of the same modern field.

An Old Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of Milborne Woods, Dewlish <1>.
