Full Description
A Clay Pit and associated buildings are marked on the OS 1st edition map at Tolpuddle to the east of West Barn <1>. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project <2>. It is one of a wide scatter of hollows which cover an area of over 24 hectares extending in to Warren Hill where Gravel Pits and a Sand Pit are also marked on the 1st edition map.
