Full Description
An irregular area of disturbed ground in a field on the northwest side of Cerne Abbas is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The feature is considered to possibly be a post medieval quarry and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. It is still visible on lidar imagery but is developed for residential use.
