Summary

Banked curvilinear features in fields on the northwest side of Cerne Abbas are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are sightly curvilinear and conform to field boundaries of similar character that suggest an area of medieval field division. They are considered likely to be field boundaries or a field boundary and trackway, also of probable medieval origin, and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
