Summary

An area of medieval strip lynchets at Kiddle's Bottom are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. Probably part of the medieval open field system of Piddletrenthide, continues areas of similar lynchets to the north recorded under MDOs 1925, 1926 and 43835. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

An area of medieval strip lynchets at Kiddle's Bottom are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. Probably part of the medieval open field system of Piddletrenthide, continues areas of similar lynchets to the north recorded under MDOs 1925, 1926 and 43835. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
