Summary

An irregular area of ridged cultivation remains on Tenant's Bottom to the south of Alton Pancras are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered to possibly be medieval in origin but a later date is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

An irregular area of ridged cultivation remains on Tenant's Bottom to the south of Alton Pancras are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are considered to possibly be medieval in origin but a later date is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
