Full Description
An area of banked linear features on the west side of Alton Pancras are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2, 3]. The features form a series of small sub-rectilinear closes and are considered to possibly be part of an area of shrunken medieval settlement. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
