Full Description
The highly fragmented remains of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the north of the Roman road, northwest of Ashley Barn, Tolpuddle (1). The features cover an area of over 74 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. They are considered likely to be contemporary with the hillfort and therefore possibly of Iron Age or Roman date.
