Full Description
Banked linear features to the west of Alton Pancras are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval date, although a later origin for one of the features is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project. Only one of the features remains faintly visible on lidar imagery [2].
