Summary
Banked linear features to the south of Henley Farm, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features comprise an area of parallel ridges and ditches that form narrow parallel strips within a single field. They might be part of a medieval strip field and/or ridge and furrow cultivation. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Banked linear features to the south of Henley Farm, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features comprise an area of parallel ridges and ditches that form narrow parallel strips within a single field. They might be part of a medieval strip field and/or ridge and furrow cultivation. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
