Monument record MDO48310 - Medieval or post medieval field system, Rogers Hill Farm, Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle

Parallel field boundaries and associated cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the northwest of Rogers Hill Farm, Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle. They are considered likely to be the remains of a medieval or post medieval field system and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Parallel field boundaries and associated cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 (1) and on lidar imagery (2) to the northwest of Bagber Farm, Milton Abbas. They are considered likely to be the remains of a medieval field system associated with the medieval settlement of Bagber (MDO4452), the cultivation marks have since been levelled. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
