Summary

Five hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the north and west of the long barrow on Bere Down, Bere Regis. They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits, possibly for chalk and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Five hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the north and west of the long barrow on Bere Down, Bere Regis (1). They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits, possibly for chalk and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
