The site of Old Chalk Pit is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the southwest of Longmead, Milborne St Andrew (1). It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project (2). Two other pits are situated in the same modern field.
