Summary
Two hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in a field to the south east of Cayles Down Copse, Milton Abbas. They are situated to the west of the flint pit recorded in MDO48254 and are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits, possibly for chalk or flint. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description
Two hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in a field to the south east of Cayles Down Copse, Milton Abbas (1). They are situated to the west of the flint pit recorded in MDO48254 and are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits, possibly for chalk or flint. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
