Full Description
Three hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the west of Ashley Barn, Tolpuddle (1). They are situated within two small coppices marked on the OS 1st edition maps and are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits. They were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project. A fourth hollow, also considered to be an extractive pit, is located to the west immediately adjacent to the Roman road.
