Summary
Banked linear features to the south of Henley, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features comprise an area of faint parallel ridges and ditches and longer parallel linear banks that form narrow parallel strips within several fields. They might be part of a medieval strip field and/or ridge and furrow cultivation. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Full Description
Banked linear features to the south of Henley, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features comprise an area of faint parallel ridges and ditches and longer parallel linear banks that form narrow parallel strips within several fields. They might be part of a medieval strip field and/or ridge and furrow cultivation. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
