Summary

Three conjoined subsquare ditched enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1976 in the field to the north of Foxpound, Milborne St Andrew. The features are located on the southern side of a larger rectilinear ditched enclosure are considered likely to be Iron Age or Roman in date. They were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

Three conjoined subsquare ditched enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1976 in the field to the north of Foxpound, Milborne St Andrew (1). They are between 24m and 29m across and located on the southern side of a larger rectilinear ditched enclosure 140m across. The features are considered likely to be Iron Age or Roman in date and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM Project.
