Summary

Banked and ditched linear features to the south of Cosmore, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to form part of a later prehistoric field system, although it is possible that some of the features are alternatively field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.

Banked and ditched linear features to the south of Cosmore, Buckland Newton, are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are considered likely to form part of a later prehistoric field system, although it is possible that some of the features are alternatively field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
