Full Description
Ditched rectilinear features to the southeast of Up Cerne are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs [1, 2, 3]. The features are associated with a series of sluices recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and are considered likely to be part of a post medieval water meadow. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Cerne and Piddle AIM project.
The features are no longer visible, the area being a series of ponds visible on Next Perspectives APGB imagery.
